Alumni Memorial Scholarship

Supporting the children of appalachian alumni

The Alumni Memorial Scholarship is an endowed scholarship awarded annually to children of Appalachian State University alumni who are incoming freshmen to Appalachian. The screening process is highly competitive, and is based on high school academic success, SAT or ACT scores, participation in school and community activities (including work experience), and leadership potential.

The first Alumni Memorial Scholarship was awarded in 1988. Since that time, more than 70 scholarships have been awarded. This scholarship is made possible each year by the continued financial support of alumni and friends of the university and the proceeds of the specalized Appalachian license plate program.
