Join the more than 1,700 drivers in North Carolina riding with Mountaineer pride thanks to a specialized Appalachian license plate!

The plates are available through any DMV office in North Carolina. The cost is just an additional $25 on top of the regular registration fee and of that amount, $15 comes back to Appalachian's Alumni Memorial Scholarship Fund.

For an additional $30, the plate can be personalized with a special message, such as your class year. (You can check the availability of special messages at the DMV website). *Note: If you order an Appalachian tag and want to personalize the plate with 2 letters and 2 numbers after the A, one of the letters must be G, O, U, I, Q. Otherwise, it conflicts with another tag series that the DMV has in place.
